Currently known for selling and distributing Tata’s four-wheeled vehicles, Sipradi is now collaborating with Yatri to pioneer the development of next-generation electric scooters through the P2 project. This partnership aims to shake up the stagnant electric two-wheeler industry in Nepal with innovative solutions and new standards.
Yatri, founded in 2017, is dedicated to transforming the urban mobility landscape by designing, engineering, and manufacturing world-class electric vehicles in Nepal. The company recently unveiled the groundbreaking Yatri P1 Gen2 dual sport electric motorcycle, which will be the world’s first electric two-wheeler to integrate wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Yatri’s commitment to advanced, high-quality, and cost-effective electric scooters is poised to revolutionize the market.
On Friday, Sipradi and Yatri signed a cooperation agreement to commence local production, although the details have not yet been made public. This collaboration between Sipradi and the Nepali start-up Electric Yatri Energy marks a significant milestone for both companies. Leveraging Sipradi’s industry expertise and Yatri’s innovative designs, the partnership seeks to drive widespread adoption of electric scooters and transform urban mobility in Nepal.
