Deepal’s Meteoric Success: 100,000 S07 Units Produced in Short Time Span!

Kathamandu || The Deepal S07 has rapidly achieved production milestones, with 100,000 units manufactured so far. This electric vehicle has gained significant traction, particularly in Nepal, where it is produced at a rate of around 10,000 units per month. Its success in the Nepali market can be attributed to its stylish design and competitive pricing.

In May, Changan’s subsidiary Deepal reported impressive sales of 14,371 units, reflecting the strong market demand for their vehicles. The Deepal S07 crossover SUV has been a standout, especially in Nepal, due to its appealing aesthetics and affordability. Meanwhile, Changan’s SL-03 sedan is also performing well in China, and the company is set to expand its lineup with the upcoming ‘Rugged Offroader G-318’ and the newly teased compact SUV, the S-05.

Competing directly with Tesla’s Model Y, the Deepal S07 offers advanced features at half the price in the Nepali market. It measures 4750 mm in length, 1921 mm in width, and 1625 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2890 mm. The vehicle is powered by a 99 kW rear drive motor and a 66.8 kWh ternary lithium (NMC) battery pack, providing a WLTP-certified range of 430 km on a single charge.
